FIRST DAY: CUSCO / WAYLLABAMBA
Pick up of the Hotel to travel by Bus towards Ollantaytambo to Km. 84. Here we carry out the corresponding controls and we meet to our professional team that helps to make our trip an entire success. We begin the walk along the banks of the Urubamba river until arrive to Llactapata, an important archaeological place where we take a break for a lunch. Then, we continue the walk to our first camp in Wayllabamba. Here, we spend the night.
SECOND DAY: WAYLLABAMBA / PACAYMAYU
An energy breakfast.
We walk on a slow but marvelous ascent up to 4.200 m.a.s.l.; where we find the archaeological ruins of Warmiwanusca', the highest point on the trail. It has an impressive view of the snowcapped mountains and the semitropical valley below. Here we enjoy lunch and then continue in descent until Pacaymayu where we spend the second night after having dinner.
THIRD DAY: PACAYMAYU / WIÑAYWAYNA
After an energy breakfast we begin the day by climbing up to the Runkuraqay archaeological zone where we again come into contact with the remains of the Inca culture. Then we continue until Sayacmarca where we have lunch. Our subsequent descent takes us from dry mountainous terrain into tropical greenness of the cloud forest. On the way we visit the Inca ruins of Puyupatamarca and then continue to Wi?ayhuayna where we arrive to our ultimate camp and have dinner.
FOURTH DAY: WIÑAYWAYNA / MACHUPICCHU
An energy breakfast
Very early, we star the walk to the Sun Gate or Inti Punku in time to enjoy the sunrise over Machupicchu, the lost city of the Incas; a sight that in itself makes the trip worthwhile. Then we take a tour around this energy and culturally rich place. We visit the plazas, the sacred springs, the towers, the agricultural and urban sectors.
Back to Aguas Calientes to return to Cusco , transfer to your hotel.
